The Real Problem Isn’t Reach. It’s Relevance.

Your Reach Can Be Rented…
Your “Relevance” Has to Be Earned.

You post something you’re proud of. You’ve got the story dialed. You took your time. You even wrote a decent hook.

But the views stall. No one engages. It just… sits there.

So you do what most people do.

You blame the platform. The timing. The algorithm. Maybe you post it again with a different thumbnail.

But deep down, you wonder if that’s really the issue. Because you know how this works.

When something connects, you feel it. It moves. It spreads. It sticks.

And when it doesn’t?

It usually means you weren’t clear. Or you didn’t stand for anything. Or you buried the real message under polish and pacing and pressure.

This week’s newsletter is about that. Not how to beat the algorithm. How to stop hiding behind it.

You Ever Turn Down the Radio to See Someone’s Address Better?

It doesn’t make sense, but it’s what we do. We’re lost, we’re unsure, so we quiet the situation and start to slow down and focus.

Many creators never get to that moment.
They get lost and immediately hit the gas - more content, more edits, more energy.
And then wonder why nothing's landing.

If the message isn’t clear, turning it up won’t help. You’ve got to slow down long enough to see what you're even trying to say and more importantly, what your audience wants to hear.

When Was the Last Time You Thought About Blinking?

You’ve been doing it the whole time you’ve been reading this.

No cue. No effort. No mental checklist to make sure you got it right. It just happens.

That’s what it looks like when something becomes integrated. Not performed. Not packaged. Just part of how you show up.

You don’t script your eye contact.
You don’t rehearse nodding your head when someone else is speaking.

You don’t choreograph how you use your hands when you talk.
You just show up, and your body takes care of the rest.

That’s what a point of view should feel like.
Not a gimmick. Not a hot take. Not some manufactured edge dressed up as personality.
Just you, saying something true. Over and over. Until your audience knows it’s yours.

We don’t blink on command. We blink because we’re alive.
You should create for the same reason.

You’ve Already Said It. You Just Haven’t Built Around It Yet.

You probably don’t even notice it anymore. That one line you say in every call.

Every DM. Every voice note. Every answer to “So what do you do?”

It slips out before you realize it.

Not because it’s rehearsed, but because it’s true.

That sentence is your foundation.

It’s not a tagline. It’s not branding. It’s what you believe when no one’s watching.

For me, it was: “I Help Remarkable People Look and Sound Great on Camera.”

I said it so often I stopped hearing it but it’s the sentence that built everything.

The studio. The systems. The strategy. The Team. All of it pointed back to that one line.

And here’s the part we forget. The things we say too often are usually the things we’ve earned the right to say.

Because they’ve held up. Because they’ve helped people. Because they’ve made it through the fire and still ring true.

So don’t toss that line looking for something newer.

Build on it. Sharpen it.

Let it be the sentence everything else points back to.

If you’re tired of saying it, that might mean it’s finally working.

How a Message Can Become a Movement

You’ve said the thing that matters.
Probably more than once.
But somewhere along the way, you stopped treating it like it was enough.

The work now is repetition.
Sharpen it. Build around it.
Let it carry more weight than the clever stuff you’re tempted to chase.

The Answer to Last Week’s Poll

In the previous newsletter, we asked if you wanted to know the simple thing I asked my audience that fateful day in August of 2020.

Podcast Guest at “Your Brand Amplified”

We recently had a fantastic conversation with Anika Jackson on her podcast, Your Brand Amplified.

We really dove into some deep topics around video marketing, branding, and what it means to show up authentically in today’s digital world.

Anika asked some fantastic, thought-provoking questions that opened the door for a real and honest discussion.

We talked about the power of storytelling, why imperfection can actually be a strength, and how brands, big or small, can use video to build real trust and connection with their audience.

👉 Remember that you can hit "reply" at any time and you will reach me directly! 📩 That subject line was pretty bold, wasn’t it? Well, we meant every word. Most storytelling advice is bloated, abstract, and oozing with with buzzwords and jargon. Video Creators don’t need more theory. They need a way to unlock their stories, fast and tell them in a way that lands quickly with audiences. This week, we’re handing over part of the storytelling system we’ve used with clients for over a decade....

👉 Remember that you can hit "reply" at any time and you will reach me directly! 📩 What do you do when you’ve lost everything? Everyone talks about “staying positive.” But nobody tells you what happens when things get so bad… positivity isn’t even an option anymore. That was me in 2020: Tenants stopped paying rent. My business conference shut down. Everything I built: Gone, all at once. At first, I was furious. Then I was exhausted. Then I crossed this weird line… Where it all became so...

👉 Remember that you can hit "reply" at any time and you will reach me directly! 📩 The Lies We Tell Ourselves Most people hit 'record' thinking they can outsmart the camera. “If I memorize the script…” “If I smile the whole time…” “If I just push through…” But the lens doesn’t buy it. You can force a grin, but your eyes still look tense. You can hit every word, but your voice still flattens when you don’t believe it. You can polish the delivery, but your body language spills the truth. The lie...
